Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a naturally occurring substance found on your skin. As you age, you start to lose HA, which causes the skin to lose structure and volume, contributing to the formation of wrinkles and folds.

There are two different types of wrinkles:

Dynamic wrinkles are caused when muscles contract to make facial expressions such as smiles and frowns.

HA FILLERS XC is a non-surgical filler your doctor uses to instantly smooth out the lines along the sides of your nose and mouth. It can provide natural-looking results for up to a year with optimal treatment. HA FILLERS XC is made from a modified form of hyaluronic acid (HA), manufactured using proprietary HYLACROSS™ technology.

HA FILLERS XC non-surgical filler is approved for injection into the mid to deep dermis (below the outer layer of skin) for the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds (the creases running from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth, also known as parentheses or smile lines).

Do not use this product if you have severe allergies or a history of severe allergic reactions. You should also not use this product if you have allergies to lidocaine or the proteins used to make hyaluronic acid. Your doctor will determine if HA FILLERS XC treatment is right for you.

Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a history of excessive scarring or pigmentation disorders. You should also discuss any medications that you are currently taking that can prolong bleeding, or therapy used to decrease the body's immune response.

Your doctor injects HA FILLERS XC non-surgical filler into the skin using a fine needle to temporarily fill in the treatment area and smooth moderate to severe facial wrinkles such as parentheses (smile) lines and marionette lines.

HA FILLERS XC non-surgical filler will help to smooth moderate to severe facial wrinkles around the nose and mouth such as parentheses (smile) lines. Results may last up to one year with optimal treatment.†‡

Injections may cause some discomfort during and after the injection. HA FILLERS XC is formulated with lidocaine for a more comfortable treatment experience.*1 Your doctor may choose to numb (anesthetize) the treatment area to further minimize discomfort.

The injection process can be performed during a brief office visit. You'll also need to allow time to consult with your doctor prior to treatment. Touch-up injections as well as repeat injections are usually needed to maintain optimal results. Less gel (about half the amount) is usually needed for repeat injections.

Most side effects are mild or moderate in nature, and their duration is short lasting (7 days or less). The most common side effects include, but are not limited to, temporary injections site reaction such as redness, pain/tenderness, firmness, swelling, lumps/bumps, bruising, itching, and discoloration.
